[On the one hand, he is definitely hungry, and he has not found any sources of food aside from the Questionable Creature making questionable demands for questionable meat. Recovering from serious injury takes no small amount of energy, either. On the other...there's definitely a catch. Shinjiro's definitely not desperate enough yet, nor is he stupid enough to think he's in good enough condition to go killing a demon by himself to exchange for food right now. But he is morbidly curious about what would happen if he offered it his gemstone. He twirls it around in his hand, idly commenting to anyone else who might be nearby:]
