achates | [Network] Navigators (Day 1)

Hello, everyone. I hope you've been well, given the situation we find ourselves in. I admittedly don't have a lot of experience using technology like this [Aside from the tomestones back home, but she hardly used those even], but I suppose I will have to adjust sooner than later.

I have met a few of you already, but if we haven't met until now, my name is Tsubaki Aoganei. My lack of experience with this kind of technology is actually the reason why I'm reaching out now. After investigating with a few other people, we've been trying to figure out the origins of the navigators we've been assigned. I'm sure there are more qualified people here to explain just what we found here but to my understanding, we have not been assigned navigators who are solely installed into each of our COMPs. It's more like they come from a central point of access. It would make more sense than everywhere at once. But these navigators are capable of dying along with us, if it should come to that, and are reset in a way.

But after digging a little deeper, we've come to realize that even the demons here do not know about them or how they've come to be which suggests that somebody else has provided them. Our keepers, possibly? While that part is still a mystery to us yet, there is another possible lead to work off of, if anyone is tech-savvy.

I'm ill-suited for the task, but we've begun to wonder if we cannot get answers from the demons here and the navigators themselves do not know who programmed them, then mayhap we can simply trace the signal? If we can find a way back to the source of the matter, then we can find a few more answers. Hopefully answers over more questions.

It's alright. Unfortunately, I wouldn't have any experience in that either.

I think it's possible. It would make sense if we've all been brought here specifically and given these navigators. The question is if it will lead to any answers. There's still a lot that we don't know about this place.

It'll lead to answers. Maybe not to the questions that we have. Maybe it'll result in a lot more unanswered questions. But we'll learn *something*, so I think efforts like this is worth it.

Well, answers are still better than nothing, even if they are not for what we initially asked for.

If I'm being honest, I'm not sure this will get the results we're looking for. With so many of us here, you never know. Someone might have a certain skill set to look into it.

[She can't take credit for the idea. It was thanks to all the others investigating their own stuff and those she had been working with that brought the idea up in the first place. But she had always firmly believed that the impossible could be possible with enough support and effort. She had to be when she had seen it time and time again in her own world.]

Looks like BB's already helping you out. Nao also seems like she'd be good with that sort of thing. Alice too.
They're all amazing people. We're lucky they're here.

It is fortunate to have so many different skill sets to offer here. I'm just glad that I'm not here by myself. We'll manage to get through whatever is thrown at us. I'm sure of it.

What are you looking for?

Well, I'm not entirely certain just yet. Recently, there have been theories of being brought here for a purpose by a third party, but if we could trace where these navigators have been stored, it may lead us to clues on who really brought us here. What are their reasons? Why are there objections to us being here?

The COMPS? I'm not sure if they have the capacity to tell us where they have been stored, but it is something that we can look at. Is there a reason you want to look at this?

They don't unfortunately. Neither they nor the demons have any ideas about where they could be stored. If we could find who created them, then there is a possibility that we could find a lead for who may be responsible for pulling the strings in the shadows.

BB understands that but how do you expect to find that out? ( ,,⩌'︿'⩌,,) Through the connection its establishing with our individual COMPS?

BB could triangulate the signal and see what we can find that way. Otherwise, the COMPS are not anything special - BB will find out more information later with Nao-chan.

But primary findings, BB noticed that they seem to be utilizing an app of some sort to connect them for the purpose of use. It's why everyone's COMPS are different and come from everyday items like a PSP, phone, watch, etc.

Something like that. I'm... not entirely sure, to be honest. I don't have anything like this back home. It would be much appreciated if you could, though.

I am afraid I am also ill suited for the task, however, I am interested in what you may find from it. Please, do keep us updated in what you may find.

I was able to find someone who was able to trace the signal. Sadly, we haven't really been able to get much from it. She reported that there was a lot of interference. Likely, the source is somewhere in the far east. This gives us a general idea, but the problem therein lies with the fact that it is in a place where we cannot traverse through.

Still an interesting notion. That means something exists out there within that malicious fog. Something dwells there.

We'll be sure to let everyone know if anything else develops.
